Richmond Park to Surrey Hills - Sat 11th July

I'm going to do a slow but steady ride out to the Surrey Hills on Saturday. It's about 40 miles. Meeting 10am at Pen Ponds Car Park (in the middle of the Park), finishing at a pub in Surbiton for a 'post-ride debrief'. It'll only be 3 weeks since my hip operation, so this will be SLOW. You can take any hills at your own pace though - we'll regroup at the top/bottom/next junction.

Route will be something like this, although I may change or reverse it if I work an alternative that's less pressure on my hip:

If you have a Garmin, you should be able to upload the route for peace of mind.

Road bikes, water & sunscreen essential. If you're not sure what else to bring, have a look at the links in my sig below. I'll probably be in my KW club kit and I have auburn hair.

It's not strictly a women-only ride, so you're welcome to bring male friends, if they are happy with going slowly.

Please post or PM if you fancy coming along.

    Hi there
I'm new to the area and would love to join you tomorrow. Will meet you at the car park in the morning and plan to be there a few minutes before 10am.

Out again tomorrow if anyone is interested - 10am from Market Square in Kingston (by the Druids pub). Similar pace, about 35-40 miles.
