    Spring/Summer gloves

Can anyone recommend a good pair of fingerless cycling gloves for Spring/Summer use. They must have gel pads on the palm and thumb base?

I have a pair of scott mitts and a pair of Altura spirit mitts. One of my bikes has very thin handle bar tape, and I find the scott gloves are a bit on the thin side (despite having gel in them). The Altura ones are very comfy tho.

Was going to reply t'other day but could not remember name of some of the gloves I use; Chiba relatively inexpensive and have done many many miles in mine; inc 1400km London Edinburgh London etc. I also have 1-2 other makes but always return to Chiba, as much as anything cos I can have different colours so can wear a pair to match the kit I am wearing.....

Yes, it’s time to look back on some of MCN’s top-rated summer gloves of recent years.

Initially i never wore cycling gloves / track mitts, as my cycling volume increased so did sore hands..... so I started using track mitts. If you ride a lot or get tender hands they can be a god-send. If you come off and put your hands out (not unusual) they will save some skin.
